On March 20th, I had the privilege of speaking at the Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt Democratic Club’s Candidate Forum in Greenbelt. During the forum, they asked all candidates “What is one thing that you think is important for people to know, that they may not know?” Speaking as a parent who has had my fair share of daycare struggles and a former teacher who knows the importance of Kindergarten readiness, I advocated for more quality preK options that help level the playing field for all kids and families.
